The Objective is Advertising and Marketing the Identity of the Product and Service. But first, you must identify your Brand, learn about Branding and this will separate you from your competitors.
About 8 years ago i came across the word Brand while researching on selling my services, there was so many different concepts of Branding which blew my mind because i did not understand at that point that the word Brand in Marketing and Advertising meant so much more than a Logo, Product and Service. It is a Representation of yourself and your business, your work ethics. It is your name, your tagline, website, your communication, your consumers, it is your business card, your brochure, your flyer. Brand is everything in the marketing and advertising world online, or face to face.
In other words, Branding is more than the visual element used to represent your company. Marketing your Brand to consumers interested in your business is everything nowadays, its definitely more than just a mark.
Today I can say that Branding is well defined in my advertising and marketing dictionary and i follow the rules, and the strategies day by day. I go above and beyond to stay updated with new ways of Branding and treat it like an everyday recipe. You must be True to your Brand and be Consistent. Start with identifying your Brand. To identify your Brand, identify your Audience, Content, Marketing Channels, the Outcome, and the Measurement.
So ask yourself these questions;
1. Who are you? What is your Product and or Service? What is your Business Name, Logo, Tagline, Website?
2. Who is your Audience? What kind of customers are you attracting? The Casual Consumer, The Business Consumer, or The Power Consumer? How do you work with each individual?
*Paint a picture for each consumer to help you determine how to work with them, how to keep them coming and establish a professional healthy relationship with each individual. Keep all of this in mind as you are building your Brand.
3. What is your Content? What are you saying? How are you saying it? Are you solving problems?
*Content is how you build your brand online through physical Marketing Channels and consists of Web and Mobile Content, Blogging, Video and Auto, Webinars and Podcasts, Infographics, Presentations, Printing, and more.
4. How is it received? What Marketing Channels do you use?
- Social
(Social Channels; Gatherings, Social Media) - Mobile
(Social Media, Search Engines, Directories, Maps, Apps etc) - Website
(Wether its yours, someone else’s, affiliations, or blogs) - Print
(Business Cards, Flyers, Envelopes, Posters, Brochures, Banners etc.) - Face to Face
The list goes on; Today Marketing is to be Distributed, Promoted and Shared.
5. What is the outcome, the Measurement? How do you know if your Branding efforts are working?
*You pay attention to the leads that come through your door and ask them how they heard of you, listen to their answer.
6. What Makes you Different?
Brand Building is about establishing an identity that helps facilitate your growth and sustainability as a business by building a familiar presence, create a standard procedure in the way you do things, and develop a level of confidence in the minds of your customers.
